Elections are Tuesday, Oct. 6,  early voting starts 9/30

  • This is a Town of Cary Municipal Election.  Mayor Weinbrecht and Council Member Lori Bush are running unopposed for reelection.
  • Also there are 4 new candidates for the vacant District D seat on Cary Town Council for the Southwest portion of Cary, previously held by Gale Adcock.
  • There are 2 new candidates for the District B seat held by incumbent Don Frantz for Downtown Cary and its surrounding areas.

New Restaurants in Cary:

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 204 Crossroads Blvd, Cary
A new location of CMG opened in Crossroads Plaza on September 17, 2015.  Chipotle offers great rice bowls, burritos, tacos, salads, chips and salsa all with the freshest ingredients.

Golden Pig Korean Cuisine, 815 W. Chatham Street, Cary
This new Korean restaurant that offers pork dishes, entrees with protein, vegetables and rice and Asian favorites. It’s closed on Mondays.

Nine’s China, 4224 NW Cary Pkwy, Cary
This Chinese restaurant just opened in Preston Corners. To celebrate their grand opening you can get a free drink with the purchase of an entree.

Kababish Cafe, A new Indian restaurant in Downtown Cary will celebrate their grand opening on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:30 am with samples of kababs, onion fritters, mango lassi and more.

North Carolina Festival by the Sea, Oct 24, 2015 – Oct 25, 2015, Sat. 9 am-5 pm & Sun. 9 am-4 pm

  • Holden Beach Pavilion, Holden Beach
  • The NC Festival by the Sea is a 2-day event that kicks off with a parade down the Holden Beach causeway on Saturday. This is the only day of the year that you can walk across the Holden Beach bridge. Arts and Crafts vendors are open from 9 am – 5 pm on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy a horseshoe tournament and a sandcastle building contest. Children enjoy face painting, huge kites flying overhead and children’s rides and amusements. Live musical entertainment both days at Holden Beach’s Pavilion.
